Keywords:
Ion selective electrodes, modified gold electrodes,
molecular recognition processes, calix[4]pyrroles, macrocyclicpolyamines, corroles.
Research profile:
The application of intermolecular recognition
processes occurring at the border of aqueous and organic phase for developing
of new electrochemical sensors is our main research
field. We are dealing with anions and cations selective electrodes, in which
the macrocyclicpolyamines, calix[4]pyrroles and corroles are applied as sensitive elements. We have developed the electrodes,
which are able to recognize the undissociated forms of phenol derivatives. We are working on ion channel mimetic amperometric
sensors based on chemically modified gold electrodes.
The following methods are used in our laboratory:
·
Potentiometry
·
Cyclic
voltammetry
·
Impedance
spectroscopy
·
Capillary
electrophoresis
·
Quartz
Crystal Microbalance (QCM)
Domains of applications:
Our sensors could be applied in environmental analysis, food quality controlling and medicine diagnosis
