Keywords: Atomic absorption spectrometry, flame atomization,
electrothemal atomization, interferent effects, mechanism of modifier action,
sample pretreatment, evaluation of analytical signals.
Research profile:
Preparation
of new analytical methods by atomic absorption spectrometry. Study of the
evaporation and atomization processes in graphite tube and the mechanisms
of modifier action. Direct pretreatment of analytical
samples in the graphite tube, e.g. mineralization of organic matrices, elimination
of chlorides and sulphates. Preliminary preparation of samples, e.g. preconcentration,
separation including speciation analysis. Study of the methods of evaluation
of analytical signals obtained in the presence of interferents including
the extrapolation methods.
Domains of applications:
Nuclear materials, environmental samples, mineral
waters and saline waters.
