Keywords:

ICP – mass spectrometry, trace element determination, isotopic analysis, elemental speciation, electrothermal vaporization, laser ablation, dynamic reaction cell, high resolution

Research profile:

University research group. Both rather fundamentally oriented research into ICP – mass spectrometry and application-oriented themes. Development of analytical methods and their application to real-life problems.

Domains of applications:

Trace and ultratrace element determination in various matrices. Isotopic analysis in the context of tracer studies, geochronological dating, provenance determination of foodstuffs & artefacts. Solid sampling analysis using electrothermal vaporization – ICPMS and laser ablation – ICPMS. Elemental speciation using HPLC-ICPMS, GC-ICPMS, CE-ICPMS and 2D-GE – LA-ICPMS. Elimination of spectral interferences using high mass resolution (sector field ICPMS) and chemical resolution in a dynamic reaction cell (DRC).
